Alta Math isn’t just another online program - we’re real teachers with decades of experience, delivering real results.

With 35 years of experience leading one of the most recognized international math education franchises, we’ve helped thousands of students reach their full potential through mastery-based learning.

Our name, Alta - Latin for “high” or “elevated” - reflects our mission: to raise students to the highest levels of math understanding, whether they’re catching up, keeping up, or aiming for the Ivy League.

We teach students the way musicians are trained - with precision, discipline, and mastery at every level. Whether your child is just getting started or tackling advanced calculus, our approach is individualized, ability-based, and built for long-term success.

Meet the Team
At Alta Math, we keep class sizes small and limit enrolment to ensure that instruction is never delegated to student teachers, AI, or automated systems. Every student works directly with Ms. Mia and Ms. Juliet - experienced educators dedicated to real, personalized teaching.
Our Offerings

1
Complimentary Parent Interview & Diagnostic Assessment
Before beginning the program, we offer a no-obligation assessment that includes a parent interview and diagnostic testing.
This initial step allows us to understand your child’s current level of math readiness and identify any foundational gaps. Through careful observation of speed, accuracy, oral fluency, focus, correction ability, and overall disposition, we determine a comfortable starting point along our curriculum.
It is also an opportunity for families to ask questions, learn more about our approach, and see if Alta Math is the right fit.
2
Core Program (Available for Grades 4-12)
This is the foundation of Alta Math - designed for students who are ready to build confidence, close gaps, and accelerate beyond grade level.
Each student attends two 30-minute classes per week in a very small group (max 6-8 students), always led by our two experienced instructors.
Students receive individualized instruction and immediate feedback in a private break-out room, followed by quiet observation in the main class. Work is graded and corrected to 100% with the instructors prior to leaving class.
Outside of class, students complete daily mastery assignments (20–25 minutes per day) to reinforce skills and maintain momentum. With on-demand support available six days a week, help is always just a message away.
3
Advanced Support (Available for Grades 9-12)
This is a fully private offering designed for students needing either accelerated, high-level support or focused remediation.
Students receive a 1-hour private session every week, daily mastery assignments following exactly what is being completed at school, on-demand access to both of our teachers six days a week, as well as the option to join into as many weekly group classes as they would like for additional observation and instruction.

This format is ideal for high-performing student athletes, frequent travelers, and students requiring intensive remediation.

Technology
Required
-
Digital Pen (Stylus)
-
Tablet
In today’s day and age, the art of pen on paper remains an essential part of the learning process. However, most schools today expect students to be proficient with iPads and digital technology (especially in preparation for post secondary education).
So, when designing our program, it was important to us to align with this reality and support our students in developing these essential skills.

Using a digital pen (stylus) on a tablet is the perfect combination of kinaesthetic learning while still advancing into the technological world!
